What a gorgeous place!  Even though @perthcafeculture has been a supporter of West Perth for longer than most people have been alive – we actually don’t venture West that often – (yes I know they play in Joondalup).  Delighted that we did on Wednesday evening.  Walked along the red carpet, welcomed with a smile and a glass of Veuve Clicquot – we were pretty happy from the start. Am glad I lugged my book along with me to pop up a review on @winesandbooks instagram – as the decor is – as I said above – gorgeous.

We were spoilt with delicious food; a variety of canapés – plus fish and chips in a paper bag (reminiscent of my youth when Dad brought home Friday night fish and chips in yesterday’s newspaper!)  The staff on the night were friendly and most attentive.  We were sitting a little out of the way but they still ensured we didn’t miss out on food and wine.

The bar is well stocked – I counted over 30 beers and ciders on the menu!  Apart from the champagne, I also tried an elegant Rosé.  I started counting the wines and gave up – huge choice – you will be able to please everyone.  It was lovely to see so many of the gentlemen dressed up in black tie and the ladies in gorgeous gowns for this launch. I was a guest of Mayfair Lane for their launch party – will definitely be back with friends – fabulous new venue in Perth.
